Meet Daniel
Daniel graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2014 with a B.A. in English and Spanish Minor. He began his career in education the same year, finding a role as a high school English teacher at The Privett Academy on Mercer Island, WA. Since then, he has expanded his subject areas to include Math and Spanish, now with a decade of experience assisting both advanced students as well as those struggling with neurodivergence (ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia).
“Real learning occurs in an environment that balances hard work and joy. If you can laugh with a student from time to time, they’re usually more willing to dedicate their time and energy to things that challenge them. Just as there is value in self-discipline, there is also value in being a goofball— I like to create an atmosphere that encourages both.”
In his free time, Daniel participates in the Seattle music scene as a guitarist/drummer, and as an avid rock-climber, you can often find him at the local bouldering gym. He also does digital/web design projects for small businesses in his area.

- Teaching and tutoring with an emphasis on high school English, Math & Spanish (2014-present)
