Supporting Students

Meet Andreas

Andreas (or Andy, for short!) has spent nearly a decade helping students see the beauty and logic in math. With a master’s degree in mathematics and years of teaching university classes, he understands what students need most: confidence, patience, and a supportive mentor. Andy specializes in building strong relationships with students, empowering them to explore ideas and develop lasting problem-solving habits. “The moment a student gets confused in class, they tend to get left behind. I meet them where they are and guide them back up to speed.”

Drawing on his background as both a geometer and an illustrator, Andy helps students visualize complex ideas, giving them a clear place to start with any problem. “Every problem starts with a picture. If you can see the puzzle pieces, you can figure out where they go.”

That same creative eye carries into his life outside of tutoring. Andy runs a pottery studio with friends, where he makes planters, vases, and kitchenware featuring intricate underglaze designs. He also works with oil paints, markers, and pastels to capture the emotions of everyday life on canvas.
