Meet Lanie

Lanie believes that learning is about building a toolbox for life. Her goal as an educator is to guide students toward college or career readiness, active engagement as global citizens, and the study skills needed to become lifelong learners. She takes great responsibility for providing her students with access to the knowledge and skills they need to succeed beyond the classroom.

Lanie’s experience as an after-school coordinator and an EdTech customer support agent gives her a well-rounded perspective on the education system. She loves getting to know each student, sparking curiosity in the learning process, and developing curriculum tailored to her students’ unique interests and needs.

Lanie is a proud alumna of Oregon public schools, having attended K-12 in Portland Public Schools, earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oregon, and currently attending the Graduate Teacher Education Program (GTEP) at Portland State University.

In her free time, Lanie enjoys hiking Pacific Northwest trails, training in Olympic weightlifting, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
