Meet Juliet
Juliet recently relocated to Seattle after living in the United Kingdom and France for several years. As a student, she was fortunate to learn from inspiring educators who helped shape her curiosity and motivation to learn. “My amazing teachers have shown me just how important education is, and what a joy it can be when one really begins taking pleasure in learning.” This perspective has shaped her own teaching approach – calm, patient, and focused on making learning enjoyable. She adapts to different learning styles and encourages curiosity.
Juliet has tutored students of various ages and academic levels. She began in high school, helping peers with French and Spanish, and later mentored a student with learning difficulties through the French organization, Afev. She also worked for a company called Ringle, tutoring children and adults in English, and served as a teaching assistant at Columbia University, leading osteology labs, discussion sections and grading assignments and exams. Since then, she has continued tutoring through platforms like Varsity Tutors and Anacours, in addition to private sessions.
Outside of teaching, Juliet is passionate about paleoanthropology. She understands that students have interests and passions of their own and enjoys tailoring lessons to include student interests whenever possible, making learning more engaging and personal.
