Meet Kristin

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Kristin has called Portland home since 2007. After earning her English Literature degree from Portland State University, she worked as a copywriter and editor before completing her Montessori elementary teaching certification and a Master’s in Education at Loyola University. Since 2015, she has taught and tutored students in grades 1–6 across all subject areas.

Kristin is known for her warm, supportive approach and her ability to build strong relationships with students. She tailors each session to individual strengths and learning styles, encouraging curiosity and weaving student interests into lessons. Drawing on her Montessori background, she often uses hands-on materials and multisensory tools to make abstract concepts accessible.

She specializes in elementary and middle school academics, higher-level reading and writing, and supporting neurodivergent students—particularly those with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and dyscalculia.
