Meet Cassandra
Cassandra Arc is a graduate student in Portland State University’s Master of English program with extensive experience tutoring students across a wide range of subjects. She supports both high school and college learners in areas such as Algebra, Chemistry, Computer Science, Statistical Reasoning, Reading, Writing, and Psychology. Cassandra believes that helping students understand how they learn is just as important as what they learn. Her goal is to equip students with the tools and strategies they need to approach academic challenges with confidence and independence.
Cassandra has also worked closely with students who are neurodivergent or navigating mental health challenges. With a background in behavioral science and personal experience in this area, she is especially skilled at supporting students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety, and executive function difficulties. She helps students stay organized, manage their workload, and develop motivation through personalized systems and compassionate guidance.
In addition to subject tutoring, Cassandra works as college coach and peer mentor, guiding students through the entire college admissions process. This includes helping students research schools, choose majors, write admissions essays, apply for financial aid, understand award letters, and search for scholarships. She brings a calm, supportive presence to what can otherwise be a stressful and overwhelming process.
