Meet Sarah
Sarah Levy is an educator, scientist, and creative dedicated to helping students connect curiosity with real-world problem solving. They hold a B.S. in Biochemistry from San Francisco State University and an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of California Santa Cruz.
Sarah has taught a wide range of subjects including engineering, chemistry, physics, biology, physiology, anatomy, medical chemistry, and bioanalytical chemistry at both the high school and college levels. Their teaching emphasizes hands-on, inquiry-based learning that encourages students to explore, experiment, and think critically about the world around them. Whether leading an engineering design challenge or unpacking complex scientific concepts, Sarah fosters curiosity, confidence, and compassion in every learner.
Motivated by a desire to improve human health and reduce disparities in healthcare, Sarah helps students understand how science and engineering can address real-world challenges. They aim to empower young people to see themselves as capable changemakers who can use their knowledge to make a meaningful impact on their communities and beyond.
Outside the classroom, Sarah is also a musician, finding joy and balance through creative expression. They continue to explore the intersections of art, science, and sustainability, drawing inspiration from collaboration, social responsibility, and lifelong learning.
