Meet Azalia
Ever since her sophomore year of high school, tutoring has been a constant in Azalia’s life. She began by tutoring math at her own high school and quickly discovered a passion for helping others understand and enjoy the subject. In college, she took on her first formal tutoring role, working with students in elementary math and literature.
Now with over seven years of experience across a wide range of grade levels, Azalia’s commitment to supporting students in both their academics and overall school experience continues to grow. “I love when I see a student grasp a concept they’ve previously struggled with. The look on their face when the dots start connecting is amazing.”
Azalia currently teaches math and science at a K–12 school, working with students both below and above grade level. She supports learners from diverse backgrounds and with a variety of challenges, including ADHD, autism, and anxiety. Through this work, she has developed a flexible, student-centered approach: “I enjoy explaining the same concept in different ways to meet each student’s learning needs.”
