Meet Connor

Connor McClain brings ten years of teaching and student support experience to his work in K–8 math and literacy, academic writing, and K–12 social studies. He began in credit-recovery programs in Palmdale, California, helping students meet graduation requirements, and later taught middle school social studies and writing in Los Angeles. In 2025, he moved to the Seattle area, where he teaches fifth-grade math and literacy as a lead teacher.

Connor builds strong relationships that help students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling challenges. He breaks complex concepts into manageable steps and helps students develop confidence and self-advocacy skills, including those with anxiety, autism, and other learning differences.

Outside the classroom, Connor is a lifelong distance runner who has completed more than 15 marathons, including the Los Angeles Marathon more than ten times.
